Three States in Ten Days — Did We Survive?
We packed way too much, forgot sunscreen, and had the time of our lives. A cross-country saga featuring two kids and zero nap schedules.

The People Behind The Story
Four hearts, one home, and a lifetime of adventures waiting to be written.
The Dad
The steady compass of the family. Explorer, storyteller, and keeper of terrible dad jokes.
The Mom
The heart of the home. Equally graceful juggling a newborn and a five-star dinner reservation.
The Big Kid
Boundless curiosity packed into one small human. Already plotting his next great adventure.
The New One
The newest chapter of the story. Still learning the world, but already ruling the house.

Parents. Again.
Chapter One
We thought we had figured it out the first time around. We were wrong — gloriously, hilariously wrong. Welcome to the second act.
The Hensons family lives by a simple creed: say yes to new places, new foods, and new adventures. Whether that's a weekend road trip or a last-minute flight, we pack fast and laugh even faster.
2018 · The Beginning
Graham & Christina start their greatest adventure.
2020 · Enter Shephard
The first wildcard joins the team and changes everything.
2023 · Enter Alex
Round two. Bigger chaos. Even bigger love.
Moments Preserved
Favourite snapshots of the years — the loud, the quiet, the messy, and the magnificent.

Turns out second-time parents still Google "is this normal" at 2 AM. Alex is thriving and Shephard has declared himself chief assistant.

Milestone · Shephard
Shephard walked in without looking back. We stood at the gate for twelve minutes pretending we were fine. We were not fine.

"The days are long, but the years are short.
We intend to fill every single one."
— Graham & Christina
Trial, Error & More Error
Things we wish someone had told us — blowouts, bandages, boredom, and everything we figured out the hard way.
Gravity is merciless to small children and their outfits. If you pack three changes, you will need four. On a six-hour flight. We speak from vivid experience.
Alex is doing things at six months that Shephard didn't attempt until a year. Sibling osmosis is real. Also terrifying.
One bite rule. No pressure, no drama. Six-year-olds make excellent negotiators when they want dessert — use that energy constructively.
The best games Shephard has ever invented came from moments where we turned off screens and said "figure it out." Kids are magnificently creative when left alone.
The goal isn't perfection. The goal is showing up. Every single day, even the hard ones, is a win worth counting.
Explorers At Heart
Every trip is a chapter. Every destination adds a line to the story of who we are as a family.
Our Philosophy
A child who has tasted mango in Thailand, ridden a train through France, and eaten street tacos in Mexico City will never see the world as small.

Memories made
Travel with small children isn't always easy. It's delayed flights and lost luggage and someone inevitably spilling something. But it is always, always worth it.
Who We Are
We are Graham, Christina, Shephard, and Alex — a family who believes that the best stories aren't read, they're lived. This website is our living scrapbook: a place to document the chaos, the beauty, and the everything in between.
We started this blog because our friends kept asking how we manage two kids and still find time to travel, try new things, and occasionally sleep. Spoiler: we don't always. But we try, we laugh, and we document every glorious failure.
